Is this the right course for me?
English at the Sydney Russell School endeavours to teach students how language works to shape meaning, improve communication and enhance an understanding of linguistic structures and functions. Students across curriculum phases will develop their ability to use and manipulate unfamiliar sources to build a case for different purposes. From spoken language to written, from news articles, to dystopian fiction- students will explore the effects of language in all forms. The non-linear nature of the KS3, GCSE and A Level Literature course means that parents can support their child in simple ways and still have a profound impact on their child’s learning journey.
