The Sydney Russell School is celebrating! Congratulations to our Year 11 students for their fantastic achievements and to our dedicated staff for their commitment to ensuring our students achieve their very best!
With 58% of students achieving grade 5+ in both English and Maths, 76% securing a 4+ and, on average, a third of students achieving the very highest grades 7-9 in these core subjects, early indications point towards these being the school’s best GCSE results.
Principal, Clare Cross, congratulated students saying, “We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of all of our students who now have what they need to access the next stage of their education, training or employment, with many progressing into our Sixth Form to study a range of A Level subjects. These results are a credit to your hard work and determination to achieve your best. You are exceptional young people, and we couldn’t be prouder of you. Congratulations!”
Alongside fantastic results in English and Maths, the school is celebrating a plethora of exemplary results across the board, with exceptional grade 7+ achievements in Biology, Chemistry, History, Physics and Sociology. At SRS over 74% of students completed EBacc qualifications, with all making exceptional progress and over 36% securing the very best grades.
We are extremely proud of the broad and ambitious curriculum we offer which enables students to realise their potential and showcase their talents. High EBacc entry at SRS is not at the expense of excellent academic performance in the creative arts, celebrated today with exceptional results achieved in Art, Photography, Dance, Drama, Media Studies, Music and PE.
We are delighted that the hard work of the past years is reaping its rewards – congratulations to our students who have risen to the challenge and succeeded so brilliantly, we wish them every success and happiness in their next steps.
