Year 12 Science and Maths students from the Southern Consortium attended a series of Masterclasses during October Half term. Over the two days the Students attended Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths sessions. The sessions were delivered by Postgraduates working for the prestigious Russell Group University Imperial College London and were designed to complement their current A level studies.
The sessions were challenging, interesting, and varied – from learning how 3D films are made using the polarization of light, to dissecting a heart and learning about mathematical networks.
The students worked incredibly hard throughout all the sessions, and the staff from Imperial College London were hugely impressed by the students’ hard work and engagement.
Having the opportunity to work with such a prestigious University was a real privilege, and the students were a credit to the Southern Consortium. Well done!
