Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you and your families are well.
We are four weeks into the new term and I am very well aware that the pressure you, your children and staff are under is immense. Managing you children learning at home is not easy but can I thank you for your continued efforts in keeping your child(ren) motivated and engaged in learning. I also want to thank you for all the overwhelming support you have shown the school during this lockdown. I have relayed your many kind words and wishes to the staff and they have been very much appreciated. Thank you again.
There is still no roadmap as to the way forward but I can assure you that the staff will continue working incredibly hard to adapt their planned delivery to support the remote learning of our children. We refuse to let Covid define the life chances of our young people. We would welcome your views on our remote learning provision and I encourage you to complete the survey that was released this week. With your feedback we can continue to do what we do even better.
I am very pleased to be able to tell you that next Wednesday, February 3rd, will be Wellbeing Wednesday. We will be suspending the normal timetable and offering a range of activities that your son/daughter will be able to opt in to. We hope the day will be a break in routine and very enjoyable. More details will follow.
Finally can I ask that if you have not already responded to the Parent App invitation that you do so. This app will help us keep in touch with you and keep you informed. You must activate the app and I urge you to do so. We are keen to continue to improve our communication with families and this app is a powerful tool in doing that. If you have not received an invitation please contact us so that we can invite you.
I wish you all well.
