I am delighted to start this week’s newsletter by announcing the winner of our Student Principal elections, Syeda Ali! Congratulations Syeda on your commendable campaign for the role, I look forward to working with you and all our student leaders to ensure SRS is the best it can be for all of our school community.

We have been so impressed with the energy, enthusiasm and commitment of all of our election candidates; Mollie, Ridhwaan and Armandas, you have shown great strength and resilience throughout the election process, you have displayed courage and character in standing for what you believe in and you should feel very proud of your achievements – we are sure that this will be just the start of great things for each of you.

Syeda will now begin her work as Student Principal and, having established her leadership team, will begin her work with our Student Council and wider group of student leaders. We wish Syeda and all our student leaders every success in their roles.

We have just four school days until half term – a reminder that school is closed to all pupils on Friday 22nd October.
