Welcome back! I hope you all had a restful half term and that you feel recharged and energise for the rest of the term ahead.
The end of last half term really did celebrate the best of SRS. It was wonderful to see so many of you, students, staff and families, at our FestivALL on Saturday 23rd October – it was a roaring success!
Thank you to all who made the day as special as it was – our student performers from primary, secondary and 16+, our local business and partners who supported the event and all our visitors who brought fantastic energy and enthusiasm as they cheered, took part and supported the events.
A huge thanks to Mr Dimakos, Ms Stafford and their teams, Mr Mitchell and the music team and of course our staff band, for all their hard work in making the event so memorable and inspiring future events!
This month whilst we are as busy and focused as ever on our learning in school, as a school community we will be taking time to reflect on the past, the present and the future. Next week we begin our Remembrance events, in a few weeks we will be supporting Children in Need and, alongside the world leaders at COP26, we continue to work hard to play our part in protecting our environment and caring for our planet. Look out for events in school in the coming weeks and get involved.
Our primary newsletter will be integrated into this newsletter from now on as we share and celebrate the achievements, news and events of our whole all-through school. Look out for Mr Barton’s football predictions too!
Have a great weekend all.
Mrs Cross
