Statement of Intent

The curriculum is designed to develop students’ understanding of fundamental mathematical concepts; their ability to recall and apply knowledge and to use reasoning to solve problems. The department also promotes the idea that Mathematics is enjoyable and that the ability to apply mathematical concepts is an important life skill.
