Dear Parent/Carer, 

Re: Christmas Lunch & Christmas Jumper days 2024 

With the end of term approaching, and festivities underway, please note the following dates and information regarding Christmas lunches and Christmas jumper days. 

To ensure it is an enjoyable experience for everyone, we have lunches for different year groups over two days.  Each year group will have their meal together along with staff. 

On the day of your child’s Christmas lunch, they are invited to wear a Christmas jumper with their normal school uniform. 

Christmas lunch will be offered as follows: 

Tuesday 10th December:  

• Primary – children in EYFS, Y1, Y2 

• Secondary – children in Y7, Y8 and Y9 

Wednesday 11th December: 

• Primary – children in Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6 

• Secondary – children in Y10, Y11, Y12 and Y13 

The meal will comprise of a traditional two-course Christmas dinner (vegetarian and special diet requests will be catered for) which will be the ‘meal deal’ of the day at the cost of £2.40 (or free for children eligible for free school meals).  Please ensure your child’s Parent Pay account has sufficient funds.  

On the above dates, when your child’s class is not having their Christmas lunch, the following menu will be available: 

• Primary: jacket potato, pasta, sandwich – or bring a packed lunch 

• Secondary: normal menu offer (served from the ‘Old canteen’) 

Please note the following festive events which are also taking place over the coming two weeks: 

• Tuesday 10th December – Winter Showcase 6:00 – 7:30pm – secondary  

• Friday 13th December – Christmas Fair – hosted at primary site 3pm – primary  

• Tuesday 17th December – Christmas Market | Secondary  

• Wednesday 18th December – Reverse Advent Calendar – delivery to Kingsley Hall 

Reverse Advent Calendar 

A gentle reminder that we are asking for the following items to be donated: 

• Canned food (e.g. soup, tinned meat/fish/pasta, sauces, vegetables) 

• Dried food (e.g. rice, pasta, lentils, biscuits, cereals)  

• Toiletries (e.g. shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, flannels/sponges, hairbrush/comb, shaving foam, shampoo)
   

Students in primary, secondary and Sixth Form have a collection box in their classroom/form room for them to put their donation.  

We ask that anything you can give, no matter how big or small, is brought in by Tuesday 17th December – thank you in advance.
