This week we have welcomed seven reviewers into school as part of our Challenge Partners Quality Assurance programme. The reviewers spent time across both the primary and secondary sites, visiting lessons, meeting with students and staff and looking at our ways of working.
I am delighted to share the very positive feedback that the school has received, recognising all areas of practice as ‘Leading‘, and accrediting our primary maths provision as an Area of Excellence.
I would like to express my congratulations and thanks to the whole school staff for their relentless work to ensure the very best for our students, and to our parents and families for your continued support.
As the season of advent begins, on Monday we will enter into three weeks of seasonal festivities as we approach Christmas! Some key dates for you to note:
Tuesday 2nd December – Christmas trees arrive!
Monday 8th December – Carols round the tree (Break 1 – secondary students)
Tuesday 9th December – Winter Showcase (Tickets available on the MCAS app)
Wednesday 10th December – Christmas jumpers & lunch for Primary EYFS, Y1, Y2 & Secondary Y7, Y9, Y11, Y12
Thursday 11th December – Christmas jumpers & lunch for Primary Y3, Y4, Y5, Y6 & Secondary Y8, Y10, Y13
Friday 19th December – last day of term – early finish at 11.15am (primary)/11.30am (secondary) to start the Christmas holidays
Finally, gathering parents’ views on your child’s learning and experiences at school is important to us – it informs our evaluations of the work we are doing, celebrating what you feel is going really well, as well as enabling us to identify areas for further development. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey which will close on 4th January 2026:
