On Tuesday 13th January, a 12-strong team of year 7-9 students organised and led by Ms Ellis made a presentation at London Underground headquarters in Westminster.

They were up against teams form Newham, Westminster, other London Boroughs as well as Barking & Dagenham.

This was a Campaign Junction Pitch Event competition organised by Transport for London (TfL). Following their presentations the various teams were cross-examined by the judging panel.

After a lengthy period of deliberation, the judges decided that Sydney Russell School were the best and awarded us a prize of £150-00 towards research and publicity for safer travel at our local bus stop (at Martin’s corner).
