We are extremely proud to feature in the Evening Standard’s article about Debate Mate and how it is helping to improve social mobility amongst young people.

Our students have experienced huge success within Debate Mate with one team coming a mighty 2nd in the national finals last year, having beaten off the competition of 250 other schools.

Debate Mate is a programme that has become very popular amongst our students in recent years, and offers them the opportunity to develop characteristics that will enable them to be successful in all aspects of life.

Please take the time to watch the short documentary featured on this page in which Sydney Russell School and Year 11 students Gabriella and Jessica play a starring role. If you are interested in becoming a part of this fantastic programme, please see Ms. Sultan.
