Becoming a School Governor: Sydney Russell School

The Governing Body of The Sydney Russell School has a vacancy for a Parent Governor. The Local Governing Body works in partnership with the Principal to promote continuous improvement in the school’s performance.

Governors are people who wish to make a contribution to the school and the education of the children. A Parent Governor represents all parents across the school, both Primary & Secondary school sites. .

The Trust values the contribution of its school local Governor, and in return it provides high-quality training, advice and support.

Being a Parent Governor can be enjoyable and rewarding. If you have the enthusiasm to become more closely involved in the running of your school please complete the attached application form.

An election will be arranged if the number of applications exceeds the number of vacancies.

All appointments will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
