On Tuesday this week the whole school joined in celebrating International Women’s Day and committing to #breakthebias – looking for equality irrespective of gender.

Students have also taken time this week to listen to the stories of others who might inspire them in our BBC Share workshops and it was wonderful to welcome back into the school a group of young men who attended SRS and left in 2015.

This group have formed a charitable organisation called Man Up 4 What providing important awareness raising of men’s mental health. The groups of students who met with them thoroughly enjoyed the session and welcomed the opportunity to learn from the group and from each other. A huge thank you to Rachid, Priyesh, Abel, David and Jonel for their willingness too support our young people and give back to SRS – we look forward to seeing you again soon.
