It has been another busy week across SRS as we edge towards the end of the half term – the past six weeks really have flown by.

The news this week of serious conflict in the Middle East will be of concern to many. In school we are mindful that news of such worrying events can cause students to be anxious and we encourage parents and families to be aware of this as they watch / discuss the news at home at this time.

In school we follow DfE guidance in presenting/discussing any such events with complete impartiality. We make clear to students, and all members of our school community, our expectations of total respect and acceptance of each other in school. We will not tolerate any discriminatory behaviours or hate speech of any kind. Students know to report any such concerns to a member of staff immediately. I thank you for reiterating these expectations and contacting us if you have any query or concern.

There is lots of news and many student achievements celebrated in this week’s newsletter – well done to all our students for their hard work and brilliant attitudes to learning – keep it up!

Have a good weekend.

Mrs Cross
