Congratulations to our Year 13 students who are celebrating fantastic achievements in their A-Level results. With over 100 A*-A grades and 64% of students securing an A*-B grade, these results are a credit to the students’ hard work, resilience and determination, and to the commitment of our staff, whose expertise and ambition for our young people has ensured each student achieves their full potential.
With great results secured, students are now finalising their pathway decisions; 70% of students secured their first-choice university place (with over half attending Russell group or Top Third universities) and a surge in pursuit of degree apprenticeships, particularly in finance, business and tech sectors.
We are delighted to congratulate Ellis Cook and Kledian Cufaj who celebrate A*A*A*A achievements and have both taken up their places at the University of Manchester to study Physics.
Congratulations also go to Tommy Cordery, Teigan Eugene, Gail Lamptey, Oluwatimileyin (Timi) Macaulay and Ronnie Scott who secured A*AA amongst their top results. Tommy has accepted his place at The University of Warwick to study History & Politics, Teigan’s success sees her taking her place at UCL, whilst Gail embarks on a degree apprenticeship with Bloomberg. Timi will study Economics and Management at Loughborough University and Ronnie’s achievements secure his place at Queen Mary University of London to study Maths.
Lucia Hossain can be incredibly proud of her A*ABB achievements; when she joined SRS in Year 9, Lucia was new to the country and to speaking English. She has gone on to achieve fantastic results in Business, Maths, Psychology and Further Maths to secure her place at the University of Nottingham to study Maths with a year in industry.
Charlotte Morton, AAVP Sixth Form, was delighted to celebrate with students as they opened their results this morning, “Congratulations to all our Year 13 students on their A-Level results! Their hard work and determination have truly paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements. Whether they’re heading to university, starting an apprenticeship, or embarking on a new adventure, we wish them every success in the future.”
Principal, Clare Cross, expressed her congratulations to students: “We are delighted to celebrate your hard work and achievements with you and your families today. You are exceptional, inspiring, talented young people, and we couldn’t be prouder of you. As the chapter of your time of study at The Sydney Russell School now closes, we know that you are going forward as well-rounded, engaged, active members of society who will make a huge impact. Congratulations again on your achievements!”.
