As we edge towards the end of another academic year, it has been wonderful to celebrate our students talents and achievements this week with our Year 6 production on Thursday and secondary sports day today. In the week to come we will focus on celebrating their academic achievements, recognising their progress and the high standards so many of our young people are achieving in their learning.
On Tuesday we received the results of this year’s Y6 KS2 SATs and I’m delighted to share that the results gave us another reminder of just how well our students can do thanks to the high quality of teaching and the expert support that is put in place. The children did brilliantly well, achieving our best ever SATs results and demonstrating their readiness for Year 7 – congratulations to them all for their hard work and determination to do their best. My thanks to all the teachers, LSAs and support staff who worked with the children in preparation for their assessments and enabled them to shine – it’s a great way to wrap up another successful year at SRS.
One week to go! A reminder that school closes early on Monday for staff training and on Friday for the end of term.
Have a good weekend.
