It has been an incredible week of showcasing our students’ talents, with three exceptional nights of performance of High School Musical! The students brought joy and energy to the whole school through their professional performances, brilliant singing and dancing and all round enthusiasm for the production.

My thanks to all the students who took part, whether it was on stage, behind the scenes or in support of the whole team. Thanks to the huge team of staff and external support who brought the whole production together in such a professional way – from lights, to sound, costumes, music and direction – it reflects a huge team effort that has more than paid off.

Thanks you to the SRS staff who attended each evening, supporting our young people and taking the opportunity to enjoy seeing their talents shine outside of the classroom too. Last but not least, thank you to our parents and carers of students who made the show what it was – you have been a big part of their support system in readiness for this week, you will have listened to endless renditions of ‘Bop to the top’ and watched dance moves come together…we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

With just one week until the half-term break, I wish you all a restful weekend and a great week ahead.

Mrs Cross
