Congratulations to our Year 13 students who are celebrating fantastic achievements in their A-Level results! #srssuccess

With over 100 A*-A grades, 61% of students securing an A*-B grade and an overall average grade B, these results are a credit to the students’ hard work, resilience and determination, and to the commitment of our staff, whose expertise and ambition for our young people has ensured each student achieves their full potential.

As a school we are particularly pleased to celebrate the progress our students have made over the last two years, with many achieving much higher grades than targeted.  As a school this is the realisation of our vision, ‘unlocking the potential of every child’, with these achievements opening doors to our students’ next steps in education and employment.

Nearly 70% of students secured their first-choice university place and we have seen a surge in pursuit of specialist qualifications including Drama and the Performing Arts as well as a range of degree apprenticeships, particularly in finance, business and tech sectors.

We are delighted to congratulate Kieran who celebrates A*A*A* and takes up an apprenticeship with TfL, Gabrielius who celebrates A*, A, A, A to study Engineering, Adonia who achieved A*A*A and will study Medical Biosciences at Imperial College London, Bethany who heads to the University of Exeter to study Chemical Engineering, Hana who will study Medicine at Queen Mary University of London having achieved A*, A, A, Zakaria and Suela who both celebrate A*, A*, A securing their places at Amazon for an apprenticeship in Data Analysis and KCL respectively.

Alongside the celebrations of their brilliant academic achievements, we also take this opportunity to shine a light on the role models they have been to students across the school, excelling in their personal development as well as their academic progress.

Charlotte Morton, AAVP Sixth Form, was delighted to celebrate with students as they opened their results this morning: “Congratulations to all our Year 13 students on their A-Level results! Their hard work and determination have truly paid off.  For many the transition into A Levels was a challenge, but their ambition to achieve, alongside the incredible support of their teachers, has led to today being a celebration – we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements. Whether they’re heading to university, starting an apprenticeship, or embarking on a new adventure, we wish them every success in the future.”

Principal, Clare Cross said: “We are delighted to celebrate your hard work and achievements with you and your families today.  You are ambitious, talented young people, and we couldn’t be prouder of you.  As the chapter of your time of study at The Sydney Russell School now closes, we know that you are going forward as well-rounded, engaged, active members of society who will make a huge impact. Congratulations again on your achievements!”.
