Welcome back! We hope you and your families enjoyed a restful summer break. It has been wonderful to welcome students back this week – they look very smart and have all made a very positive start to the new academic year.
Each week, this newsletter will provide you with updates on what has been going on across the school during the week, celebrating student achievements and notifying you of events. At the end of the newsletter you will find a list of important upcoming events. You will find the full list of events for the year on the website and in your email.
The start of a new academic year is a great time to re-set routines, get into good habits and ensure our young people are set up for success in the year ahead.
This week we have seen that our students are in correct school uniform, arriving punctually to school and have a positive attitude towards their learning and their school environment. I ask for your support in ensuring this great start continues throughout the year.
At home, please ensure they are getting a good night’s sleep, that they are eating as healthily as possible and that they are making time for family, friends and fresh air – each of these are essential to a happy, balanced lifestyle which will in turn enable then to do their best in school.
Our school motto – Be the best version of yourself – is a personal goal for each one of us. Each person’s ‘best’ is unique to them and makes them special. I look forward to another great academic year of ensuring we all support our young people to achieve and be their very best. Thank you in advance for your support.
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Cross
