DSC_0519A huge congratulations to Sydney Russell students who were involved in the Debate Mate Cup help last Wednesday at Westminster University. Our A team came 1st and, having run the regional event, now progress to the national final. Our B team came 5th which was a great achievement and to top it off, a member of our slightly less experienced C team was overheard saying “that will be us in Year 10.”

Please be sure to congratulate the students listed below who participated for their outstanding achievement; they really have worked incredibly hard over the last three years to achieve such a high level of debating.

A special thank you to Ms Russell, Ms Dryden, Mr Sullivan and Ms Mangat for their support and hard work, as well as all the staff who have helped out at Urban Debate League events throughout the year. A special mention to Mr Conant whose support in fine-tuning our students’ debating skills has been greatly appreciated.
