Staff are victorious at Football match vs. Year 11 Students

4Staff and students had been eagerly awaiting the annual football match between Year 11 students and staff. The students took the match very seriously, preparing thorough strategy meetings, pre-game training and even trying to psych out their opponents. The staff were quietly confident that they would reign superior, of which, they did. The students put up a good battle with Leo and Harry both scoring a goal, however the talent of the staff was, on this occasion, too good. Tyrone led by example for the year 11 team, crunching into tackles and organising his team as a 3true captain should. Leo was causing problems with his pace and quick feet but Mr Dushku, Mr Clark and Mr Kelly commanded the back four and tided up when needed with aplomb. Mr Conant was the general in midfield winning aerial battles and starting off attacks but Mr Hussain was the maestro, pulling strings and scored the goal of the game with an audacious outside of the foot stroke which nestled into the top corner. In the final third, Mr Quinn was causing havoc with his trickery and range of passing. Mr Dimakos1 stretched the year 11 defence with his direct running and pace which won him a penalty which Mr Conant slotted away. Mr Hussain, Mr Dushku, and Mr Wilson also got on the score sheet with Mr Afuape assisting twice. Never the less the man of the match, scoring an impressive goal and assist was Mr Quinn. The final score was 5-2.
