Congratulations to the Year 9 Rugby Team who won the Essex Rugby 7s plate tournament last week. The tournament was held at New Hall School in Chelmsford and they were making their debut against tough opposition. The team narrowly lost their first group games but won the remaining three to make it through to the knockout stages. This is when the team started to really express themselves by blowing Tabor & Woodlands away in the Quarters & Semi Finals. Confidence was sky high for the final & the team really got together to beat Sweyne in a very competitive final. After five hours of rugby and in pitch dark conditions in the final,
the team did enough to secure the plate trophy.
