Last week, Miss Jenkins and Miss Moore took the U14 Netball team to compete in the in the County round of the National School’s Rally at Redbridge Sports Centre.

The competition was incredibly tough – including schools such as Forest, Bancroft’s, Redden Court, Harris Academy and local rivals Robert Clack. However, as always, the students were an asset to the school!

As well as giving up their Sunday and physically pushing themselves through an all-day sporting event, the students conducted themselves in a way that they should be proud of. Although the team will not be progressing through to the Regional rally, the umpires were moved to comment on the students positive attitude in comparison to the other schools and said that by far, Sydney Russell were the most improved team on the day.

Team list:
Cherish A.
Eliane S.
Tobi A.
Ardjana S.
Whitney A.
Beatrice O.
Rebecca A. (Captain)
Divine O., O.

The girls are next in action in the second round of the Essex cup, after beating Barking Abbey 22-4 last week!
