We are pleased to announce we are supporting Barking and Dagenham’s bid to become the first ever London Borough of Culture from 1pm today. This would be a fantastic opportunity for the borough, but most importantly our school and our students!

Students on the social media team have been working very hard this morning to gather support amongst the students and staff, and as you can see from the image attached they have done a mighty job!

Now that the students have shown they support the bid will you?

The easiest way to do this is to follow this link and complete the very short form attached https://www.lbbd.gov.uk/residents/borough-of-culture/borough-of-culture/

If you would like to pledge your support in other ways you could:

1. Share your support on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #BackBD – make sure you’re following us @lbbdcouncil or facebook.com/BarkingandDagenham or @lbbdcouncil on Instagram.

2. Download our poster to display in your front room window, shop front, school – anywhere you can proudly showcase your support.

3. Take a selfie with your friends holding our ‘We back the bid’ download, and upload it to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with #BackBD and #LBBD tagging us in.

4. Make your own 5 second video of you and your mates shouting ‘We back Barking and Dagenham’s bid’ and submit it here.

5. Download our email signature and add it to your emails.

The winning boroughs will be announced on the 1st December, so fingers crossed our support will help!
