Welcome to the new academic year! I am delighted to welcome staff, students, parents and the wider school community to the new term. I hope you and your families have enjoyed the summer break and feel ready for a great year ahead.

Today we have welcomed back our children in Years 1 – 6 and our new Year 7 students. It has been wonderful to see them in school, settling into their new classes, meeting their new teachers, seeing their friends and making new friends. They have all made a very positive start to the new academic year – well done!

We look forward to welcoming students in Years 8-13 on Monday and seeing some of our youngest learners in EYFS start their learning journey with us at SRS.

This week’s newsletter gives a few highlights from this first day of school. We will have a full newsletter from next week.
