DRAGON

Dragon House Captains

Our house motto has been “tough times never last” and this is what we hope will inspire everyone to do well and participate in every event for Dragon house. This year we need to work hard, be dedicated and work together as a TEAM so we can succeed. Ensuring that we all continue to pull together, continue to work to the high standards we set and enter as many House competitions as possible, we can be victorious.

Us Dragons work together as a unit to ensure we give ourselves the opportunity to grow and win each and every House Competition that comes our way. Our house consists of outstanding, superb, and remarkable students. Whether as individuals or as a team, the greatest thing we can do is have a positive mind-set throughout the course of the year because obstacles are going to be thrown our way.
As Charles R. Swindoll said “I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how you react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes” Self-belief, passion and determination is what makes Dragons capable of doing many things. In order to be an efficient team, we believe that it is important to be aware of one’s skills and abilities to reach maximum potential.

We want every single member of Dragon to play a role in succeeding for the team. Whether it’s taking part in a house competition, cheering on fellow peers on from the side-line at house sports events, or supporting each other pastorally, every Dragon helps our team! We look forward to celebrating our success and watching Dragon House students collect their medals and lift up the trophy at the end of the year in front of all the houses and teachers.

Dragons are fairly intelligent animals; they can be trained by their rider to respond to basic commands. Since they cannot truly be tamed, dragons can prove to be very dangerous towards others. However, they can form very strong bonds with each other and will show affection and trust towards them. We symbolise character traits such as dominance and ambition.

We are driven, unafraid of challenges and willing to take risks. Team Dragon is filled with people with lots of different abilities and strengths, we recognise these traits and put them to good use. We’re looking forward to this year and working with students who are set to achieve unthinkable things. If we work together and truly believe in what we’re fighting for, we have no doubt that this time next year, we will be the first ever proud winners of the Sydney Russell School House Cup.

Our motto ‘Fire your way to victory’ /“You haven’t been bit till a dragon does it.”/ “They say dragons never truly die. No matter how many times you kill them.”

Come on Dragons we’ve got this! – DRACARYS!
