RQT PROGRAMME

We aim to provide continuous professional development for RQTs. The RQT Programme aims to bring teachers together early on in their career, to enable them to develop their practice as well as provide a support network across the school.

All RQTs engage with the Creative Teacher Programme (CTP) throughout the course of a year. The CTP is facilitated by a trained facilitator and delegates are supported throughout the programme by a professional coach, to further enhance the impact of the programme on their practice.
The CTP is made up of 6 sessions, with each session unpicking a different area of pedagogy and practice.

The programme also incorporates numerous lesson visits, opportunities to meet the teachers of the lessons visited and a series of post session challenges. This ensures that delegates are reflective both in the sessions and in their everyday practice.

Creative Teacher Programme overview (CTP)
Aims of the CTP: Classroom practitioners will become more reflective and creative, gaining a deeper understanding of the pedagogy that ensures a significant impact on the relationships with pupils and colleagues. Through this programme delegates become a more self-regulated and independent thinking professional.
