The week has flown by and it has been as busy as ever at SRS!

We are delighted to confirm that last week’s Children in Need fundraising event raised £827.44! Thank you to everyone who contributed, particularly our primary children who contributed over £500 towards this fantastic total – well done everyone!

Students have been working hard in their lessons – many have recently completed or will soon be completing assessments and we are ensuring the assessment information we gather informs next steps in closing any gaps. This is more important than ever on the back of the disruption of the last two years. We don’t want Covid to hold any of our young people back from being able to achieve their potential.

We are using all the resources at our disposal to help our students recover from the educational and personal impact of the pandemic and we thank you for your continued support and encouragement of your children in their learning at home. Whether it is reading, completing homework tasks or revision activities for assessments, it all helps our young people to build their confidence in their knowledge and understanding.

If you have any queries about the best way to support your child with home learning please speak to their class teacher/subject teacher in your parent consultation meeting/parents’ evening.

Next week we see the start of our festivities with the arrival of the Christmas trees and decorations as well as the final preparations for our festive performances which begin the following week!

Wishing you all a great weekend.

Mrs Cross

P.S. Don’t miss Mr Barton’s football predictions below!
