Our Year 11 students will be breathing a sigh of relief to have completed their GCSE mock exams this week. I would like to commend them all on their approach to their mocks and their commitment to their revision – your hard work will pay off! Keep up this focus now as you move towards the final stages of Year 11 and preparations for your final exams.
This week I received a letter from the Minister for Schools, Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP, commending the outstanding achievements of last year’s Year 4 students (current Year 5) on their fantastic achievements in the Multiplications Tables Check assessment, placing us in the top 200 performing schools in England! Once again, huge congratulations to our students and to the teachers and LSAs who supported them to prepare so thoroughly for the assessment.
For all of our students across the school, from EYFS to Year 13, this term is a very important one – every lesson and homework task is carefully enabling students to progress in their learning journey and develop as a successful SRS Learner.
Thank you for the support you are giving at home to ensure your child is thinking about what they have learnt, taking care and time to complete home learning activities / revision and making sure they are asking their teacher for support with any queries. We look forward to seeing our collective hard work pay off when we celebrate their achievements for the year in the summer term.
Have a good weekend.
Mrs Cross
