Dear student,
It is with a heavy heart that we write to inform you that the Year 13 Summer Soiree has been cancelled. Sadly, the Government’s announcement on Monday regarding the postponement of the easing of restrictions means that the event cannot go ahead.
We are disappointed not to be able to host the Soiree that you deserve, but we hope that you understand that this is something outside of our control. All students who purchased tickets will be given a full refund via ParentPay. You should expect to receive this in the coming weeks.
After the turbulent time that you have faced, we believe that you deserve to have some way to mark the end of your time at Sixth Form and to celebrate all that you have achieved.
Therefore, we would like to invite you to a celebration at school on Thursday 1st Julyat 17:00. This will be in place of the assembly that was originally planned for Wednesday 23rd June which will no longer go ahead. We hope that this will be a better opportunity for you to say goodbye to your peers and teachers and reflect on your time at the Sixth Form. We expect that the event will be finished by 19:00.
You are not expected to follow the dress code, however we would ask that you dress in a smart/casual manner. Tracksuits and loungewear are not permitted.
The event will be in line with Government guidelines. We will expect all students to take a lateral flow test prior to arrival and bring a face mask with them. If you need more lateral flow tests, please collect these from reception.
